AVCC Trip to France - July 2009

A group from the club went for a one week trip to the River Allier (in the Auvergne) in France. white-water in warm conditions for a change after freezing all winter in the Dart & Barle.

Five days good kayaking down the river in stages were enjoyed by the group:
- Monistrol d'Allier to Prades
- Prades to Langeac
- Chapeauroux to Alleyras
- Janchere to Chapeauroux

Section of the river varied from Grade 2 to 3 with some Grade 4 parts on the last day.
